Sports Maps protects your personal data and privacy. In this privacy statement, we tell you which personal data we collect and in what way we store and use it. This privacy statement applies to our website (www.sports-map.com) and our application listed in the Google Play Store and the services we provide. If you are under 16 years of age you need prior permission of your parents or legal guardians to use the Application.

Why we process personal data

To provide our service

In order to start using Sports Maps, you need to sign up with a Strava account. By doing this, you allow us to proccess activity data of your Strava account in order to display your data in the application. We do NOT store your activities datas in our servers. The data stay in your phone. However, we store pictures of your maps that you use as thumbnail to be able to display them in the app.

We store the Android Advertising ids of the devices with which your Strava account is currently bind to Sports Maps. We use this id to send you notifications about your recent activities and about Sports Maps news. We also use it to keep your application data up to date. We associate this advertising id to your Strava id.

We don’t process any payment information at all, it's handled by Google.

To improve and protect our service

We process data on how you use our service such as the features you use, the actions you take and the time, frequency and duration of your usage. We also store non-personal data, such as: the type of your browser, the type of your computer and technical information on how you are reaching our website or app. This helps us to improve our service and to quickly detect crashes and bugs so that we can fix them.

How to delete my data

We do NOT store any personnal data. If you want us to delete the few not personnal data we have associated with your Strava id, please send an email to sportsmap.contact@gmail.com with your Strava id.

Privacy Zone

Strava allow you to create a ‘privacy zone’, which will hide your exact location within this zone. If you see your route within your privacy zone, it is because Strava shared with us the unfiltered data. You must contact them to stop sharing locations within your privacy zone.
